Volunteer Schedule
FALL PLANTING and CLEAN-UP
There's lots to do before winter sets in - pulling annuals, raking leaves, cleaning the perennial beds, planting lots of bulbs. Please volunteer to help with fall chores. If it's cold, it helps to wear layers including a 2nd pair of thin gloves under your gardening gloves (we have extra garending gloves if needed). Come and go as your schedule permits. Or call Jeff at 258-1409 (home) to schedule a volunteer shift. Due to rest breaks there may be short periods when no one is present.
The VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE is:
Saturday, October 22: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - pull annuals
Sunday, October 23: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - pull annuals
Saturday, October 29: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - plant bulbs; clean perennial beds
Sunday, October 30: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - plant bulbs; clean perennial beds
WE WILL SKIP November 5 and 6
Saturday, November 12: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - plant bulbs; rake leaves; clean perennial beds
Sunday, November 13: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - plant bulbs; rake leaves; clean perennial beds
Saturday, November 19: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - plant bulbs; rake leaves; clean perennial beds
Sunday, November 20: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - plant bulbs; rake leaves; clean perennial beds
We have gardens in three locations - in front of the Gateway sign (across from Machinery Row Bikes at the intersection of Willy and Blair Streets), next to MGE, and finally on Wilson Green (across from the Cardinal Bar on Wilson Street).
We will work through a light drizzle but not a heavy rain.
