This 1953 photo shows the site of what many years later would become The Gateway Garden. Williamson Street was about to be widened into four lanes - all the houses on the left had been removed. Machinery Row (still standing) is on the right. The old Fauerbach Brewery is at the top - it's now the site of the Fauerbach Condos.
